Born in 1974 Cluj, Romania.
I live and work in Julich, Paris and Cluj.
As a student in the Textile Art Department of the Art and Design University, Cluj, Romania, I used to create textile sculptures and mobile installations. In the institutional vacuum of the Eastern European changing system, I became more and more aware of the cultural and social aspects accompanying the creative acts.
After earning a Master degree in Cultural Anthropology (with a focus on Visual Anthropology), I am now completing a Ph.D. thesis in Art and Arts Sciences at Paris 1 University – Panthéon Sorbonne. Dealing with arts and techno-sciences, my Ph.D. research emphases on the critical problems related to the artworks dealing with techno-scientifical aspects.
Between 2002 - 2003 I was fellow of French Government in the frame of Formation International Culture program and in 2005 she was DAAD research fellow at ZKM, in Karlsruhe, Germany.
Curator and project coordinator, I initiated and organized several projects. The last project, “Areas of Conflu(x)ence”, was part of Luxembourg 2007 and Sibiu 2007- European Capitals of Culture.
